It's been a difficult day for Sprint Gas Racing's Jason Bargwanna and Greg Murphy after both were turned around in today's V8 Supercar race at Phillip Island Raceway.
Bargwanna was running 12th and fighting for position when an errant Craig Lowndes hit him from behind.
"For the third event in a row I've been turned around by a Vodafone car, I'm thinking of changing my phone plan," Bargwanna said.
"It wasn't even a passing manoeuvre, he just turned me around.
"For the highest paid drivers in pit lane, Lowndes and Whincup are driving like teenagers.
"They can't pull off a clean pass so the dirty tactics come out.
"We're racing for results like everyone else, it doesn't mean you pull over and help those in the hunt for a race win or the championship."
A lap after the Bargwanna/Lowndes incident Greg Murphy was turned around by Tim Slade.
"I don't know what happened, I think Slade hit me," Murphy said.
"I'm not sure if he made a mistake or something happened to the car.
"I was hit by a few cars today; I did my best to avoid Jason Richards who went into the hairpin too hot.
"It was just one of those days. The car has been less than impressive this weekend. We struggled for grip and that made it hard to attack and defend.
"We've got a bit of work to do going into Perth."
Post race update: Sprint Gas Racing was astonished to hear that race officials have determined the Bargwanna/Lowndes accident to be a racing incident with results standing.
